Breathing on his own

Well, Emmett is now breathing all on his own.  He is still pretty much asleep, but is starting to move his arms just a little and his eyes are starting to open up.  Hopefully tomorrow he will wake up all the way and we can pull his breathing tube.  We’ll try to post a picture tomorrow.

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.

Glad to hear he is improving…although I know it is slow for you to watch. The offer for help still stands, call me anytime!!! Emmett will stay in my prayers.

Thanks for the update. I’m so relieved to hear he’s doing better. I’ll try to call again tomorrow.

Oh my gosh Lauren, I can’t believe all that has happened in the last five days! Poor Emmy – and poor you! I can’t imagine how scary and stressful all of this has been for you. Thank God he is breathing on his own now. I’m praying for a full recovery – and quick! Take care.

  5. So sorry that Emmett is so ill. What a challenge for you as parents, and for brothers, too! Hope he will get off the respirator and be seizure free. Keep trusting in the Lord–He will carry you through!

  6. Oh! I am so, so glad that he is doing better and is breathing on his own. Even though I read this post first (because, again, I am behind), by the time I got to the original post about what’s been going on this time I was in tears. And now, since this post is dated April 18 and I’m reading it on the 20th I’m worried that things didn’t go as well as you’d hoped. I’ll be praying for Emmett and for you!
