{is that a tatoo on your forehead, or has it just been a LONG TIME since you’ve had a bath?}

umm, the answer is yes. to both.

ah, today has been one of those days. you know (and i feel guilty even thinking this), the kind when the kids’ bedtime can’t come fast enough. no particular reason why. there are just some days when you don’t feel like answering 5 million questions and wiping bottoms and fixing breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and cleaning up after breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and acting as a referee and a chauffeur and a cook and a maid and a burp cloth and a kleenex and a jungle gym.

most days, there is nothing i would rather do than all of the above. well, except for wiping bottoms. that i could do without. but all the rest i count myself blessed in being able to do. i would rather stay at home with the kids than work as a vet any day of the week, and that goes double on the weekends.

but today? today i would have liked to go to the gym (couldn’t go since silas, noah, and sawyer have colds), and then come home and lay in bed for the rest of the day, reading a good book, with maybe a little HGTV thrown in.

actually, you know what my favorite thing is? to lay in the big bed, next to the sleeping kiddos, reading a good book.

what am i reading, you may ask? A Wrinkle In Time. i love that whole series.

oh, the best part of my day: hearing dr. bedpan say that he thinks silas is fine, but also realizing that i unconsiously dressed silas in a onesie today that said dr. poopsie.

dr. poopsie indeed.

    I LOVE that you are posting so much. LOVE all the pics!! It is wonderful to get to “hear” you and see the kids.

    Also, if you haven’t read Water for Elephants, read it now! You will love it.

    i love hgtv! i should have been a house flipper instead of a teacher. i think part of it is because i married an architect i don’t have as much say as most women do in the decor. i mean, i have a say, so long as my decisions are modern and minimal! i get country living. it makes me drool! can’t wait to see your house blog. go gor it!
